Our experiences through uncertainty in business came from our other company operating in mining/industrial supplies. We faced the global financial crises from 2008-2010, followed by the AUD collapse and mining bust in 2013, which almost decimated our company. We also faced serious competition from more prominent players during these crises and severe cash flow issues.
The crises put us into financial trouble where we had to fight back with different pivoting strategies to win in a cut-throat wholesale industry.
In 2018, again, we suffered greatly in business. The mining bust changed the playing field in our industry. Many of our competitors could not survive the bust. International corporations took this opportunity to gobble them up. Suddenly we were competing with global companies. They immediately grabbed market share by aggressively undercutting and killing many smaller companies. Our profit margin dropped significantly, causing a significant financial problem. We were barely surviving.
We have gone through the thick and thin of owning and operating a business. We understand that everyone is going through troubling and confusing times or will be at some point.
Whatever it is, facing uncertain times, anyone needs more resources to be a cut above the rest. Our work will influence the way you think and make decisions, and we will, through the coaching process, enable you to make faster, better, more accurate decisions.

This part often opens up core issues you did not think about before but crucial for your progress towards your goal.
In this stage, often we will discover profit potentials in your business where we need to start capitalising on. Another common situation is where we need to raise liquidity to improve cash flow. This is the stage where we start to position your business in the marketplace – ready to compete from a vantage point.
STRATEGIC GROWTH – the strategic stage where we will draw up a strategy to overcome fierce competitions that you are going through at the moment. This is the part where we create concrete strategic action steps for you to execute.
In this stage we will look at your business model, your market, current customers, current suppliers, overall industry trends, and so on. We will start to establish certain ground rules or key indicators that will guide us going forward.
DAILY GRIT – where we support you in executing strategic action steps that we have drawn. This is the time when we will help you to push through obstacles in the midst of tough times. This stage is divided into two phases: Stabilization and Revitalization.
Stabilization is where we start to see clarity and focus on resources, time, and effort towards a united goal and vision. At this point in time, your business will start to see better cash flow and a healthier margin.
Revitalization is where we start to see earning and growth. At this point, your business would be moving into stronger position in the marketplace – outcompeting your competitors.
